Learning the Faith

The pursuit of a relationship with Jesus is a life-long work of grace and perseverance.  “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). 

If you have been away for awhile or new to the church, or just want a place to share  questions about the faith, we welcome you to join us at Alpha see the calendar for dates.  

For our brothers and sisters already in the parish, we are encouraged to seek the companionship of parish friends thru a parish group or ministry.  As we are looking to deepen our intimacy and friendship with the Lord, we often pursue these timeless practices:

• Daily Prayer
• Frequent Reception of the Sacraments
• Adoration
• Daily readings
• The Rosary and other devotions
• Continuing education
• Spiritual reading
• Pilgrimages (Announcements in the bulletin)
• Retreats or Seminars
• Find a small group to grow with: Parish Groups
• Give of our time, treasures, and talents at the parish in hospitality, social concerns, or other ministries (not to earn the love of the God  but giving from a place of love)

• St Anthony of Padua hosts Overnight Life in the Spirit Retreats for the next one register here.  Spend some quiet time with the Lord while deepening your understanding of what the Lord offers each of us.
